BitStarz Review 2026: A Veteran With Cheap Wagering and One Gap

18+ · We may earn a commission from links marked “Visit”. Partner casinos are listed first. Listings are earned through testing and scores come from published terms; neither changes for money. How we earn

BitStarz has been taking crypto deposits since 2014, which in this business makes it a veteran. This BitStarz review checks whether the long run still adds up to a good deal in 2026. On our numbers, it mostly does: 87 out of 100 on the Haxies Index, second of the 17 casinos we track.

The welcome bonus is cheap to clear, the stated payout time is short, and there are no published cashout limits. The one weak spot is on paper. BitStarz publishes a Curaçao licence number but doesn't name the company that owns it.

We read the bonus terms on 4 September 2026. We worked out the clearing cost ourselves and show the sums below. Payout times quoted here are the ones BitStarz states in its terms.

BitStarz holds Curaçao licence OGL/2024/165/0185. It launched in 2014. The owner isn't disclosed.

It confirms seven coins (BTC, ETH, USDT, LTC, DOGE, TRX and BCH) and, unusually for our top three, a fiat rail as well. A sportsbook isn't confirmed. The lobby lists about 7,500 games from 87 studios, second only to Bets.io's 100+ in our top five. Support runs 24/7 on live chat and email.

The welcome offer is a 100% match up to 5 BTC plus 180 free spins, with 40x wagering on the bonus only.

Withdrawals first, because that's the strong suit

Most reviews leave the cashier until late. With BitStarz it deserves the front of the queue.

BitStarz states crypto payouts in under 10 minutes. It publishes no cashout limits, and says large balances can be flushed manually on request. The minimum withdrawal follows standard crypto thresholds. No casino fee is disclosed on crypto payouts; the network fee is yours.

What "no cashout limits" means for you

Many brands cap withdrawals per day, week or month. A big win then trickles out in instalments. BitStarz doesn't publish a cap, which is why it avoids our 5-point deduction and keeps 30 of 35 Cashout points.

"Manual flushing on request" is the operator's phrase. Read it as: a very large balance may need a support contact before it leaves in one go. That's still better than a hard weekly cap.

The audit clause

The terms say every withdrawal is subject to an internal audit. That's the review step behind the stated time. Most crypto casinos do something similar, but BitStarz says so outright. A clean account history keeps the audit short.

Speed by coin

Litecoin, Tron and TRC-20 USDT usually confirm in minutes for small fees. Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash depend on block times and congestion. Ether depends on gas. BitStarz sits well inside our fast payout crypto casinos list, though Jack and a few others state quicker times.

BitStarz review verdict: the 87 explained

BitStarz loses points in exactly one place that a player can see: the owner box. Everything else is close to top marks.

Why the owner matters

A licence number tells you who regulates the casino. An owner name tells you who runs it. If a dispute ever reaches the regulator, a named company is the party you complain about. BitStarz gives you the first and not the second.

That doesn't make BitStarz unsafe. It makes it harder to check. Publishing the owner would lift its Index to 95, five points above Wild.io's 90.

Our take

For a player who wants a big match bonus and a long track record, BitStarz is one of the best bets on our sheet. For a player who reads ownership before anything else, Wild.io wins.

The missing owner name did not keep BitStarz off the site. It passed testing by several sources within the Haxies group, and Team Lead Harrison Ayla signed off on the listing after interviewing the brand himself.

The welcome offer, priced out

BitStarz offers 100% up to 5 BTC plus 180 free spins. Wagering is 40x, applied to the bonus amount only. That base is what makes the offer cheap.

How much does it cost to clear the BitStarz bonus?

About $80 per $100 of bonus. The 40x wagering applies to the bonus only, so $100 of bonus needs $4,000 of bets. At a 2% house edge on a 98% RTP slot, the expected loss on that turnover is $80. You keep roughly $20 of expected value per $100 claimed.

Three deposit sizes, worked through

Deposit Bonus (100%) Turnover at 40x Expected cost at 2% Expected value left
$100 $100 $4,000 $80 $20
$500 $500 $20,000 $400 $100
$2,000 $2,000 $80,000 $1,600 $400

The ratio stays the same at every size: about 20 cents of expected value per bonus dollar. What grows is the turnover. Clearing $2,000 of bonus means $80,000 of spins, which takes real time and brings large swings.

The tinkerer's tweak: RTP

The 2% edge in our sums depends on a 98% slot. At 96% RTP, the edge doubles to 4% and the $100 example costs $160 to clear, wiping out the bonus and then some. Before you spin, open the slot's info panel and check the RTP. Studios often ship several versions of the same title with different returns. High-RTP crypto slots are the only sensible way to clear this offer.

Bonus-only base versus deposit plus bonus

Plenty of casinos apply 40x to your deposit and bonus together. On a $100 deposit with a $100 match, that's $8,000 of play and about $160 of expected cost. BitStarz's bonus-only base halves the bill on the same headline multiplier.

The 180 free spins

The package includes 180 free spins. Spin value, eligible games and any wagering on spin winnings aren't on our data sheet. Read the spin terms on the bonus page before counting on them. Across crypto casino free spins offers, a high spin count often comes with a low stake per spin.

A BTC-denominated bonus and volatility

The cap is set in Bitcoin. If you deposit BTC and the price moves while you clear, your bonus moves with it. That cuts both ways. Players who want the maths to stay about the games can deposit a stablecoin instead, if the bonus terms allow it for that coin.

Mistakes that turn a cheap offer expensive

The arithmetic above only holds if you play the offer the way it was priced. These are the common ways players break it.

  • Clearing on the wrong game. A 96% slot doubles the expected cost. A game that contributes partly to wagering can multiply it further, because you need more turnover for the same progress.
  • Betting too big. Most bonus terms carry a maximum bet while wagering is active. BitStarz's figure isn't on our sheet, so find it before the first spin. Breaching it can void the bonus and its winnings.
  • Depositing more than you'd play anyway. A 5 BTC cap is a ceiling, not a target. A bigger bonus means proportionally more turnover, and the time and variance that come with it.
  • Requesting a withdrawal mid-wager. On many sites this forfeits the bonus. Finish or forfeit on purpose, not by accident.

Should you claim it at all?

Claim it if you'll play several thousand dollars of slot turnover anyway. Skip it if you prefer quick sessions and quick withdrawals, because an active bonus locks the balance until the rollover is done.

Signing up and the KYC picture

BitStarz asks for no identity documents at signup. Verification is reserved for withdrawals, and the terms add that every withdrawal goes through an internal audit.

So you can register and play without paperwork. A request for ID at cashout is possible, especially on a large first win. BitStarz belongs among our no KYC crypto casinos in the "no documents to start" sense, not the "never" sense.

Keeping a first withdrawal clean

  • Clear the bonus fully before requesting a payout, or forfeit it first.
  • Withdraw in the coin you deposited where you can.
  • Use one account only. Duplicate accounts are the fastest way to a frozen balance.
  • Keep your registration details accurate in case ID is requested.

Where it's allowed

Legality depends on your country. BitStarz publishes its own restricted-country list, and you need to check both that list and your local law before signing up.

Coins, fiat and networks

BitStarz confirms BTC, ETH, USDT, LTC, DOGE, TRX and BCH, plus a fiat payment rail. That last part sets it apart from Wild.io and Jack, neither of which states one on our sheet.

Coin Network fee profile Good choice when
BTC Moderate to high in busy periods You already hold it
BCH Usually low You want Bitcoin-like coins with lower fees
ETH Gas, varies with demand You hold ETH and fees are calm
USDT Depends on network (TRC-20 is cheap) You want a stable balance
LTC Low You want fast, cheap withdrawals
DOGE Low You hold it already
TRX Very low Small, frequent transfers

Bitcoin users

BitStarz is one of the longest-running bitcoin casinos on our sheet, and its welcome cap is set in BTC. On-chain fees vary with mempool load, so at busy times a deposit can cost more than the bet you planned. Use a SegWit (bech32) address in your wallet to keep fees lower.

Fiat rail

Specific fiat methods aren't listed on our sheet. Card or bank options may carry their own fees and slower payouts than crypto. Check the cashier.

The network-mismatch trap

Tether runs on several chains. Send USDT on ERC-20 to a TRC-20 address and the coins can be lost. Copy the address from the cashier and confirm the network every time.

Games: 7,500 titles from 87 studios

BitStarz lists around 7,500 games from 87 studios. The studio count is the standout figure: more providers usually means more variety in mechanics, volatility and RTP versions.

Per-game RTPs aren't published on our sheet, so check each title's info panel. That matters most during the welcome offer.

What to play while clearing

Slots normally contribute in full to wagering. Table and live games often count less or not at all. Contribution rates aren't on our sheet for BitStarz, so read the bonus terms first. Live dealer games and instant games such as crash or dice are better saved for after the bonus is cleared or forfeited.

No sportsbook confirmed

Our sheet doesn't confirm a BitStarz sportsbook. If you want casino and sports in one wallet, our list of crypto betting sites covers brands that do.

Licence, ownership and support

BitStarz holds Curaçao licence OGL/2024/165/0185. Curaçao overhauled its licensing in recent years and now issues numbered licences under the Curaçao Gaming Authority. A published number lets you check the register yourself.

The owner company isn't disclosed. That's the reason Cover stops at 17.

Support runs 24/7 over live chat and email. For a payout query, include your account ID, the amount, the coin and the time of request.

For and against

For

  • Clear score of 40/40: about $80 expected cost per $100 of bonus.
  • Wagering on the bonus only, not on your deposit.
  • Stated payouts under 10 minutes and no published cashout limits.
  • Fiat rail alongside seven confirmed coins, including BCH.
  • 87 studios, the second-widest studio list in our top five.
  • Running since 2014.

Against

  • Owner company not disclosed.
  • No sportsbook confirmed.
  • Every withdrawal goes through an internal audit, and verification is reserved for withdrawals.
  • Free-spin value and game contribution rates aren't on our sheet.
  • BTC-denominated bonus cap exposes the bonus to price swings.

Gaps in what BitStarz publishes

  • Owner company. Naming it would add 8 Cover points and lift the Index to 95, enough for the top Index score.
  • Free-spin terms. Spin value and wagering on spin wins change what the 180 spins are worth.
  • Game contribution rates. These decide which games are safe for clearing.
  • Fiat methods and their fees. Useful for anyone not holding crypto yet.
  • Verification triggers. A published threshold would make big withdrawals more predictable.

We re-read terms and refresh the "Figures read" date when anything changes. The scoring rules behind every number here are part of how we test crypto casinos.

Who BitStarz suits

A good fit if

You want a large match bonus with low clearing cost. You'd rather not have a weekly withdrawal cap. You like a long-running brand, a big studio list, or the option of a fiat deposit.

Skip it if

Ownership transparency comes first for you. You want sports betting in the same account. Or you'll clear on 96% RTP slots, where the bonus costs more than it pays.

A word on limits

Turnover of $20,000 on a $500 bonus is a lot of spinning. Set a loss limit before you start, take breaks, and use the tools listed under responsible crypto gambling if it stops feeling like entertainment.

BitStarz versus Wild.io and Jack

BitStarz sits between Wild.io (90) and Jack (87, level on points) on the Index. All three state fast payouts; they differ on offer type, paperwork and caps. BitStarz actually beats Wild.io on Cashout, 30 to 25, because Wild.io publishes a maximum withdrawal per period and BitStarz states no cashout limits.
