Bitcoin casinos are the oldest corner of crypto gambling, and they still handle more BTC than anything else on the cashier menu. That does not make every one of them a good place to park your coins. The difference between a smooth night and an annoying one is usually a fee you did not price, a confirmation you did not wait for, or a bonus clause you did not read.
This page compares the bitcoin casinos in our ranking on the things that actually touch your sats: what moving BTC costs, how long it takes, which cashiers take Lightning, and what the BTC-denominated welcome offers cost to clear. Every brand fact comes from operator terms or published summaries we have read and dated. Payout speeds are what operators state. Every casino in the list passed the Haxies group's multi-source testing and an interview with Team Lead Harrison Ayla before it was placed here.
Think of it as popping the hood. We show the arithmetic, so you can redo it with your own numbers.
The best bitcoin casinos and their Haxies Index scores
The list below shows every casino in our data that confirms BTC in its cashier, with its Haxies Index score. Partner casinos are featured first and carry a Partner badge; within each group the order follows the Index, and every score and Index rank is calculated the same way for all 17. The Index is a score out of 100 built from three parts: Clear (how cheap the welcome offer is to turn into withdrawable money), Cashout (stated payout speed, minus a penalty for published withdrawal caps) and Cover (published licence number, named owner, 24/7 support).
Partner casinos are listed first. Every casino's Haxies Index score is calculated the same way and is never changed for money.

Thirteen of our 17 casinos confirm Bitcoin. Three more (Winna, CasinoCrypto.io and Vave) take crypto but have not published a coin list we can check, so they are left off this filter until they do. Ybets confirms ETH and USDT only.
A few names stand out for Bitcoin users specifically. Wild.io has the top Index score at 90 out of 100, with a 40x wagering requirement on the bonus only, an Anjouan licence number on display and a stated payout time under 10 minutes. It loses 5 Cashout points for publishing a maximum withdrawal per period, which is why its lead over BitStarz is only three points. BitStarz is the classic BTC brand, launched in 2014, with a welcome offer quoted in Bitcoin and a stated payout time under 10 minutes. Jack states payouts under five minutes and runs a sportsbook alongside the casino.
At the other end, Betpanda is the one to read carefully. It confirms Lightning, which is great for speed, but it publishes no gambling licence (only a Costa Rica company registration), its welcome offer carries 80x wagering on deposit plus bonus, and it publishes withdrawal caps.
How Bitcoin network fees work at a casino cashier
Bitcoin fees confuse people because they have nothing to do with the amount you send. Miners charge for block space, measured in virtual bytes (vbytes). A transaction that moves 0.001 BTC can cost exactly the same as one that moves 1 BTC, if both use the same number of inputs and outputs.
The rate is quoted in satoshis per vbyte (sat/vB). When the mempool, the queue of unconfirmed transactions, is quiet, a low rate gets you into the next block or two. When it is busy, you either pay more or wait.
Who pays which fee
On a deposit, you pay the network fee from your own wallet. The casino receives whatever lands after that.
On a withdrawal, most of our casinos say they charge no fee of their own on crypto payouts, but the network cost is yours. In practice that means the operator deducts a network fee from your withdrawal, or sets a minimum that covers it. BC.Game says it shows the network fee before you confirm, which is the behaviour you want. Qzino is the only brand in our data that publishes a flat per-coin withdrawal fee, and for Bitcoin it is 0.000075 BTC.
Why the number of inputs matters
Your wallet builds a transaction from the coins (UTXOs) it already holds. If you have received ten small payments, sending them all at once means ten inputs, and a much bigger transaction to pay for.
This matters at casinos because people often deposit in small amounts. Ten deposits of 0.0005 BTC each cost you ten fees going in. When those funds eventually come back to your wallet as several small withdrawals, and you later consolidate them, you pay again. Fewer, larger moves are cheaper.
A worked fee example
Say a simple SegWit transaction is about 140 vbytes and the mempool rate is 10 sat/vB. That is 1,400 sats, or 0.000014 BTC. On a busy day at 60 sat/vB, the same transaction costs 8,400 sats.
On a 0.002 BTC deposit, the quiet-day fee is under 1% of the amount. The busy-day fee is about 4%. That gap is why timing your deposit, or choosing another coin, can matter more than which casino you pick.
Confirmations, mempool congestion and deposit timing
A Bitcoin block arrives roughly every 10 minutes on average, but the interval varies a lot. Sometimes two blocks land in two minutes. Sometimes you wait 40.
Casinos credit a BTC deposit after a set number of confirmations. None of the operators in our data publishes that number, so check the cashier screen, which usually shows it. One confirmation is common for smaller amounts. Some cashiers wait for more.
What happens when the mempool is full
If you send with a fee rate that is too low, your transaction sits unconfirmed. It is not lost. It is waiting.
You have two fixes. Replace-by-fee (RBF) lets you rebroadcast the same transaction with a higher fee, if your wallet marked it as replaceable when you sent it. Child-pays-for-parent (CPFP) lets the receiver, or you if there is change, spend the unconfirmed output with a high fee that drags the parent through. As a depositor, RBF is the one you control, so turn it on in your wallet settings.
Timing your deposit
Fee rates tend to drop when demand drops. You can watch a public mempool explorer before you send and pick a moment when the next-block rate is low. For a casual deposit there is no rush, and waiting an hour can halve your cost.
For withdrawals you have less control, because the casino builds the transaction. A stated payout time of "instant" or "under 10 minutes" is about when the operator releases the funds. The block it lands in is up to the network.
Lightning at bitcoin casinos: who confirms it
Lightning is a payment layer on top of Bitcoin. Payments move through channels and settle in seconds, with fees usually measured in a handful of sats. For small casino deposits and withdrawals it solves both of the problems above: no mempool wait, and almost no fee.
Only two brands in our data confirm Lightning: BC.Game and Betpanda. Everyone else lists Bitcoin on-chain only, or does not say. "Not stated" is not "no", but until a cashier confirms it, assume on-chain.
How a Lightning deposit works
The cashier shows you an invoice, a long string starting with "lnbc", or a QR code. You pay it from a Lightning wallet. The deposit appears almost at once.
Invoices expire, often within minutes to an hour, and each one is for a fixed amount. Do not save an old invoice and pay it later. Generate a fresh one every time.
Lightning's limits
Lightning works best for smaller amounts. Large payments can fail if no route has enough liquidity, so a cashier may cap Lightning amounts lower than on-chain ones. Betpanda says Lightning withdrawals are near-instant while other coins take up to 24 hours, which tells you where its fast path sits.
There is a trade-off to weigh with Betpanda. It publishes withdrawal caps of €5,000 per 24 hours, €15,000 per week and €45,000 per month. Fast small payouts, slower big ones. BC.Game also publishes caps: €10,000 per month, dropping to €5,000 once your balance exceeds 10x your total deposits.
Bitcoin casino fees and limits compared
This table pulls together the withdrawal facts operators publish for nine of the brands that confirm BTC. Where a cell says "standard", the operator has not published a specific number.
| Casino | Stated payout speed | Lightning | Minimum withdrawal | Published cap |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wild.io | Under 10 min | Not stated | Standard crypto thresholds | Maximum per period published |
| BitStarz | Under 10 min | Not stated | Standard crypto thresholds | No cashout limits stated |
| Jack | Under 5 min | Not stated | Crypto-equivalent standard | No published cap |
| Cybet | Instant | Not stated | Crypto-equivalent standard | No published limits on major coins |
| Bets.io | Instant to 48 hrs | Not stated | 30 USDT equivalent | 1,000 to 3,000 USDT daily |
| mBit Casino | Under 15 min | Not stated | Standard crypto thresholds | Standard crypto thresholds |
| BC.Game | Minutes after approval | Yes | €10 equivalent | €10,000 per month |
| Qzino | Under 15 min | Not stated | 2 USDT equivalent | 50,000 USDT per week |
| Betpanda | Lightning near-instant, others up to 24 hrs | Yes | Varies by coin | €5,000 per 24 hrs |
The pattern is simple. Most brands say the network cost is yours and charge nothing on top. The real differences are in speed claims and caps. For a broader comparison on speed alone, our list of fast payout crypto casinos sets out every brand's stated payout time.
What does a BTC welcome bonus really cost to clear?
A Bitcoin welcome bonus costs the bonus amount times the wagering multiple times the house edge of the game you clear it on. At 40x on the bonus only and a 2% edge, every $100 of bonus needs $4,000 of bets and costs about $80 in expected losses. On a 100% match, deposit-plus-bonus wagering roughly doubles it.
That formula is the backbone of the Clear score. It is also the single most useful thing to understand before you claim anything. You can see the point bands for each price, and how we test crypto casinos more broadly, in our method.
BitStarz: 100% up to 5 BTC
BitStarz quotes its welcome offer in Bitcoin: a 100% match up to 5 BTC plus 180 free spins, with 40x wagering on the bonus only. That is the cheapest structure in our data, and it earns the full 40 Clear points.
Worked example. You deposit 0.01 BTC and get 0.01 BTC of bonus. You must wager 40 x 0.01 = 0.4 BTC. At a 2% edge on a high-RTP slot, your expected loss is 0.008 BTC, which is 80% of the bonus. You keep, on average, about 0.002 BTC of value from the bonus itself, plus whatever variance hands you. Our BitStarz review covers the rest of its terms, including the internal audit it applies to every withdrawal.
The 5 BTC cap is a ceiling, not a target. Very few people deposit 5 BTC, and a bigger bonus just means a bigger wagering bill at the same rate.
mBit Casino: 325% up to 4 BTC
mBit Casino offers 325% up to 4 BTC plus 325 free spins, with 40x wagering on the bonus amount. The headline percentage is large, and that is exactly why you should slow down.
The terms say all funds are locked while the bonus is active, even though the wagering is calculated on the bonus amount. We price the offer at $120 per $100 claimed, which lands in our Expensive band. A 325% match on a 0.01 BTC deposit is 0.0325 BTC of bonus and 1.3 BTC of required wagering. Our mBit Casino review shows where the cost comes from in more detail.
The cheapest BTC offers in our data
Wild.io (up to 350% across three deposits plus 200 free spins, 40x on the bonus) and BitStarz both price at $80 per $100 claimed. Bets.io also prices at $80, with 40x on the bonus plus free-spin winnings, but it adds a 2 USDT max bet, a 5x deposit cap on bonus wins, and only 7 days to wager. Those clauses do not change the expected cost much, but they change how you have to play.
At the expensive end, Rainbet's offer is 40x on deposit plus bonus. On its first stage, a $100 deposit with a $100 match means $8,000 of wagering and about $160 of expected cost. We price the full package at $208 per $100 claimed. Qzino's Q-Rake unlock works out to an effective 500x, or about $1,000 of expected cost per $100 of bonus. Skip both if bonus value is your reason for signing up.
BTC volatility: your balance moves while you play
This is the part of Bitcoin gambling most people forget. If the casino holds your balance in BTC, the dollar value of that balance changes every minute, whether you spin or not.
Some cashiers convert your deposit into a stable display currency. Others keep a native BTC balance. Check which one you have before you start, because it changes what "winning" means.
A worked volatility example
Suppose BTC is at $60,000 and you deposit 0.01 BTC, worth $600. You play for an evening and end up at 0.012 BTC, a 20% gain in coin terms. Meanwhile the price drops 10% to $54,000. Your balance is now worth $648, an 8% gain in dollars.
Flip it around. You lose 20% in coin terms, ending at 0.008 BTC, but BTC rises 10%. Your balance is worth $528. You are down in coins and down in dollars, just less than you would have been.
Neither outcome is good or bad on its own. The point is that you are running two bets at once: one on the games and one on the price. If you only want the first bet, deposit in a stablecoin instead. Plenty of USDT casinos let you hold a dollar balance instead, at a much lower network cost.
Bonuses quoted in BTC
A bonus quoted in BTC is capped in BTC. When the price rises, "up to 5 BTC" becomes a bigger dollar number, but the wagering multiple stays the same. The cost per $100 of bonus does not change with the price, because both the bonus and the wagering are in the same unit.
Where volatility bites is the time between claiming and cashing out. Clearing 40x on a large bonus can take days. Your coin count might be fine at the end while its dollar value has moved a long way.
How to deposit Bitcoin at a casino, step by step
This is the routine we would follow for a first deposit at any of the bitcoin casinos above. It takes five minutes and prevents nearly every common loss.
1. Check the terms before you send anything
Read the welcome offer terms, especially minimum deposit, whether the bonus attaches automatically, and the wagering base. Also check the restricted-country list. Whether online gambling is legal for you depends on where you live, and each operator publishes its own list of countries it does not accept. Check both before signing up.
2. Copy the deposit address from the cashier
Open the cashier, choose Bitcoin, and copy the address shown. Make sure the network label says Bitcoin, not BEP-20 or another chain that carries a wrapped version of BTC. Some cashiers list "BTC (BEP20)" right next to native Bitcoin, and sending native BTC to that address will not work.
3. Check the address format
Native Bitcoin addresses start with "1" (legacy), "3" (P2SH), "bc1q" (native SegWit, also called bech32) or "bc1p" (Taproot). Bech32 addresses are cheaper to spend from and less prone to typos because of their checksum.
Compare the first and last six characters of the address in your wallet with the cashier. Clipboard malware that swaps addresses is real, and the check takes seconds.
4. Pick a fee rate
Set the fee yourself rather than accepting a default. Look at the current mempool, choose a rate that clears in the next few blocks, and turn on RBF so you can bump it if needed.
5. Send a small test first
For a large deposit, send a small amount first. Wait for it to credit. Then send the rest. The second network fee is cheap insurance.
6. Wait for the credit
The cashier will show the deposit as pending until it reaches the required confirmations. Do not send it again because it has not appeared. Look up the transaction ID in a block explorer instead.
Withdrawing BTC without surprises
Withdrawals are where casinos earn or lose your trust. Every brand in our data states a payout speed, and every one of them can still hold a withdrawal for review.
KYC and the first withdrawal
Most of our BTC casinos say no identity documents are needed to open an account. That is not the same as never being asked. BitStarz, for example, reserves verification for withdrawal and says every withdrawal goes through an internal audit. Bets.io says ID, address, payment-method proof and possibly video checks can be requested at withdrawal or during AML reviews. BC.Game runs risk-based KYC that can be triggered at any time.
Qzino is the only brand in our data stating that no documents are needed, including for withdrawal. Our list of no KYC crypto casinos compares each brand's stated policy line by line.
Wagering on deposits
Some brands require you to wager your deposit once before withdrawing, even without a bonus. Bets.io and BC.Game both state a 1x deposit turnover. Jack's general terms require 1x of the first deposit plus free-spin winnings before withdrawal. Factor that in if you plan a quick in-and-out.
Pick the right address
Withdraw to a wallet you control, not straight to an exchange deposit address if you can avoid it. Exchanges sometimes flag gambling-related deposits, and a self-custody wallet keeps that decision in your hands.
Make sure the withdrawal address type matches what the cashier supports. Most accept bc1q addresses. Support for bc1p Taproot addresses is newer, so test with a small amount if that is all your wallet gives you.
Bitcoin or another coin? When BTC is the wrong choice
Bitcoin is the most widely accepted coin, but it is not always the best one for gambling. The right coin depends on what you are trying to do.
When Bitcoin makes sense
Large, infrequent deposits suit BTC. One fee on a big amount is a small percentage. You also get the widest choice of casinos, since BTC is confirmed at 13 of our 17 brands.
Bitcoin also makes sense if you hold it long term anyway and want any winnings to stay in BTC.
When another coin is better
For small, frequent deposits, on-chain Bitcoin fees eat a real share of each one. Unless your casino confirms Lightning, a cheaper chain usually wins. Litecoin uses a similar model with faster blocks and much lower fees, and most of the bigger litecoin casinos are the same brands you see above.
If you want to remove price risk, a dollar stablecoin is cleaner. If you already hold ETH, ethereum casinos come with their own gas and network choices.
| Your situation | Coin that usually fits | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Big one-off deposit | BTC on-chain | Fee is a small share of a large amount |
| Many small deposits | BTC via Lightning, or LTC | Near-zero or low fees per move |
| You want no price risk | USDT or USDC | Balance stays pegged to the dollar |
| Fastest possible cashout | Lightning where confirmed | No block wait |
Common mistakes at bitcoin casinos
Most lost sats are not stolen. They are sent to the wrong place or spent on avoidable fees. Here are the errors we see described most often in operator help pages and support threads.
Sending on the wrong network
Native BTC sent to a BEP-20 address, or BTC sent to an address for a different coin, may be unrecoverable. Some casinos can recover funds manually for a fee, many cannot. Always check the network label.
Paying a stale Lightning invoice
Lightning invoices expire. Paying an expired one usually fails, but a wallet that retries can leave you confused. Generate a fresh invoice for each deposit.
Ignoring the max bet rule while clearing
Bets.io caps bets at 2 USDT while a bonus is active. Most operators have a similar rule. Breaking it, even once, can void the bonus and any winnings from it. Set your bet size before you start and do not touch it.
Clearing on the wrong game
Bets.io counts slots at 100% toward wagering and other games at 5%. Betpanda counts slots at 100%, live games at 20% and other games at 0%. Playing blackjack to clear a bonus that only counts it at 5% multiplies your wagering twentyfold.
Chasing a pending deposit
A deposit that has not credited is almost always waiting for confirmations. Sending it again doubles your exposure. Look the transaction up first.
Forgetting that gambling is a cost
Bitcoin makes deposits fast and frictionless, which is also the risk. Set a budget in dollars, not in sats, so price moves do not quietly inflate it. The tools for responsible crypto gambling include deposit limits and self-exclusion where the operator offers them, and Gambling Therapy gives free help worldwide.
Licences, owners and why they matter for BTC
Bitcoin payments are irreversible. There is no chargeback. That makes the operator's accountability more important, not less, because a regulator complaint is often your only lever.
Our Cover score rewards a published licence number (10 points), a named owner company (8) and 24/7 support (7). Among the BTC brands, Wild.io, Jack, Cybet, Bets.io, mBit Casino, TrustDice, BC.Game and Qzino all score the full 25. BitStarz publishes a Curaçao licence number but does not disclose its owner, which costs it 8 points.
Betpanda is the BTC casino to watch on Cover. It publishes no gambling licence, only a company registration in Costa Rica, which is not the same thing. Our Betpanda review sets out what that means for you if a withdrawal goes wrong.
Licences in our data come from Anjouan and Curaçao in most cases. Both regulators accept complaints, and a licence number lets you look up the holder. That is worth more than any badge on a footer.
Bitcoin casino questions
Are bitcoin casinos legal?
It depends on where you live. Some countries allow online gambling, some license it locally only, and some ban it. Each operator also publishes its own restricted-country list. Check both your local rules and the casino's list before you sign up.
Which bitcoin casino pays out fastest?
By stated speed, Cybet, Cocobet, TrustDice and Crypto-Games say payouts are instant, and Jack says under five minutes. These are the operators' stated figures. On-chain BTC still needs at least one block to confirm after the casino sends it.
Do bitcoin casinos charge withdrawal fees?
Most brands in our data say they charge no fee of their own on crypto payouts, but the network cost is yours. Qzino publishes a flat Bitcoin withdrawal fee of 0.000075 BTC. BC.Game says it shows the network fee before you confirm.
Which bitcoin casinos accept Lightning?
In our data, BC.Game and Betpanda confirm Lightning deposits and withdrawals. Other brands either list on-chain Bitcoin only or have not stated Lightning support. Check the cashier, since operators add networks over time.
How many confirmations does a casino need for a BTC deposit?
None of the operators in our data publishes a fixed number, so look at the cashier screen, which usually shows it. One to three confirmations is common. Each confirmation takes about 10 minutes on average, with wide variation.
Is a bigger BTC bonus better?
Not by itself. The cost to clear grows with the bonus, so a larger match at the same wagering just means more required betting. What matters is the cost per $100 claimed, and offers with 40x on the bonus only, like BitStarz and Wild.io, are the cheapest in our data.
Can I lose money from BTC price changes while playing?
Yes, if your casino balance is held in BTC. The dollar value of your balance moves with the market, independently of your results. Depositing in a stablecoin removes that second layer of risk.
What address format should I use for casino withdrawals?
A native SegWit address starting with "bc1q" is the safest default, since almost every cashier supports it and it is cheaper to spend from later. Taproot addresses starting with "bc1p" are newer, so test with a small amount first. The bitcoin.org site explains wallet types if you need a refresher.
Choosing your bitcoin casino
Start with what you care about most. If it is bonus value, the cheapest offers to clear in our data are at Wild.io and BitStarz, and our Wild.io review breaks down its three-deposit package. If it is speed, look at the stated payout times and the caps together, not just the headline. If it is small, frequent moves, a casino that confirms Lightning saves real money.
Whatever you pick, price the fee, check the network, and read the wagering base before you deposit. Those three habits matter more than any ranking. When you want the full field rather than the BTC filter, our list of the best crypto casinos scores all 17 with the same Index.
